The AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) was provided with a complaint at the same time as the Maryland DLLR (Division of Labor and Licensing). (December 2021)

The response system and timing was very poor. When they did respond they indicated they had a 12 to 18 month complaint processing backlog and the actual dialogue process was "piss poor".

Logically, they would charge ALL OF THEIR MEMBERS HIGHER FEES to enable them to afford to staff up to handle the complaints their members are generating?

Logic along with any semblance of true community oversight and protection does seem to be absent from the Industry.
